Business in Focus is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting new and established businesses.
They have been helping people start and grow their own businesses for over three decades, by providing tailored expert business advice, access to finance, property requirements and skills training.
The Brief
Create a memorable experience for new and existing clients that allowed users to easily access all of BIF’s services in an easy-to-navigate and highly functional way. Business in Focus also wanted a site that had super flexibility to allow their internal team to create and manage pages with ease.

The Approach
Understanding the full requirements meant creating this site using WordPress’s Gutenberg Page-builder as standard. This approach would allow BIF staff to have the ability to create and modify page layouts in a creative and engaging manner.
Design and UX
After in-depth chats with the team on our direction, we tackled the UX design in a fluid and user-centric approach, making the layout fresh, pop and appealing. We updated and extended the brand palette to include a new pastel group of colours that allowed the site to appeal to a less corporate market and thus making it appealing to a younger demographic. Rounded corners, softer imagery and compact grid layout really delivered to the audience!
